DESCRIPTION:The museum will be closed November 10- December 1 to prepare for the Annual Festival of Trees. Tree decorating will begin November 17. The 2026 Festival of trees will open December 1 and close December 20. \nRegular hours at the History Center in Shevlin is Tuesday- Friday 10-4 and by appointment. SUMMARY:Historical Society Fall Fundraiser\, Volunteers and Goodies needed!
DESCRIPTION:The Clearwater County Historical Society will hold it’s annual Fall Bake & Used Book and Craft Sale on Saturday November 21 at 9 am at the Bagley American Legion. \nFor over 30 years the Society has held a Fall Sale and it’s the largest fundraiser for the society. There will be baked goodies\, used books\, and a few crafts by Roxane Waggoner\, Sue Anderson\, so there will be something for everyone. In keeping with tradition\, a delicious lunch (Klub! or ham & scalloped potatoes) will be served beginning at 11:00. The sale will continue until everything is gone or 1:00\, whichever comes first! \nAnyone wishing to donate baked items\, or gently used books for the sale is encouraged to bring items to the museum before the sale. The museum is open Tuesday – Friday from 10–4:00. Items can also be brought to the Legion after 8 am on the day of the sale. \nVolunteers are also needed to help with the sale or with serving lunch. \nThe Historical Society operates a year ‘round museum and historic preservation program for the entire county. Funds raised at this bake sale will help with operation costs like heat for the winter\, and to maintain the museum collection and continue saving the past for the future. \nFor more information or to volunteer\, contact the Clearwater County History Center at 218-785-2000
