Snowmobiling Safety Class
The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a youth Snowmobile Safety field day for interested operators 11 years of age or older. Anyone born after December 31, 1976, must have a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile on public lands or waters in Minnesota. *Students aged 16 or older may complete an online only course*
Step 1: Pre-Register for the class by calling Andy Anderson at 218-776-3112 Ext #104 or email at andyanderson@clearbrook-gonvick.k12.mn.us . If emailing or leaving a message, please include cell phone number as it will be used for reminders or updates to class.
Step 2: Complete the online youth snowmobile safety training by visiting www.dnr.state.mn.us and click on snowmobilecourse.com under “online course”, print the voucher and bring it to the field day.
Step 3: Attend the field day on Saturday, December 20 at Clearbrook-Gonvick School (16770 Clearwater Lake Road). Registration starts at 8:30 am, class starts at 9:00 am. Students need to bring a helmet and proper riding attire along with the voucher from the online class. A parent or guardian needs to attend the first part of the class for registration. Snowmobiles are provided. Class will be weather permitting.
