Program: Collapsed: “A Survivor’s climb from the Wreckage of the I-35 Bridge”

Location: McIntosh Community Center

115 NW Broadway, McIntosh, MN

Garrett Ebling, survivor of the Interstate 35 W Bridge collapse, recounts his experience and what it took for him to finally start moving forward again, both physically and mentally.

Minnesota native from New Ulm, was one of more than 140 survivors of the Interstate 35W Bridge collapse on August 1, 2007.  He endured a plethora of injuries that required six surgeries and two months in various hospitals.

While his physical recovery and rehabilitation was immense, it was the emotional aspects of post-trauma that left Garrett feeling “frozen, confused and feeling helpless.”

In this presentation, Garrett talks about his rescue, both at the bridge site and what it took for him to start moving forward again.

There is no charge to attend this program.  Light morning refreshments will be served at 9:00 am (freewill).
