BHS One Act Play
“The Perfect Ending” is BHS One Act Play
Bagley High School competed in the sub-section 29A One Act Play contest held in Oklee. Five schools performed their plays and the top two ranking plays advanced to the Section contest.
Bagley’s “The Perfect Ending” placed first and Fosston’s play “Oz” placed second. Placing third was Win-E-Mac with “The Ninth Train.” Blackduck placed fourth with “Figment” and Red Lake County Central was fifth with “The Machine.”
Bagley’s show is an absurd comedy set in the 1950’s. Although mother has planned for a perfect dinner party, father’s news from work and a series of uninvited guests create chaos despite her efforts to remain calm. Bagley’s director, cast, and crew were not able to host a public performance last week because of the bitter cold, but if you want to warm up with an evening of laughter, they will perform their show on Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the HS Auditorium. The show is 35 minutes long. Tickets are $7 and available at the door.
On Saturday, January 31, Bagley will host the Section 8A One Act Play contest. Eight teams will perform their shows. A panel of three judges will determine the first-place play and that cast and crew will represent the section at the State One Act Play contest. The Section contest begins at 10:00 am and is open to the public.
