
Bagley’s Quasquicentennial Parade

As Tamara Edevold reported in the February 8 issue of the Farmers Independent, the City of Bagley is celebrating its “Quasquicentennial” or 125th anniversary in 2023. To celebrate this milestone in history, the Bagley Rotary Club will be organizing a Quasquicentennial Parade to be held on July 4 at 2:00 pm.
Businesses, churches, youth groups and community organizations are invited to participate in the parade. There is no fee to participate, but registration is required online no later than 5 pm on Wednesday, June 28. The online registration form is available at farmersindependent.com.
Decorate a float or vehicle or march in the parade as a group and you will have the opportunity to win one of three prizes that is being offered by the Bagley Rotary Club and Bagley Area Chamber:
- $125 in Bagley Bucks for the best “Patriotic” theme.
- $125 in Bagley Bucks for the best “Birthday Celebration” them.
- $125 in Bagley Bucks for the most “Unique” decorations.
It promises to be a fun day in Bagley on July 4th, with the parade at 2 pm and the Fireworks display over Lake Lomond at dusk. Come on out and participate in the celebration of Bagley’s first 125 years!
Footnote – for those of you wondering how to pronounce “Quasquicentennial”, it is Kwas kwi sen ‘ten i el.
