Bagley High School Veterans Day Program & Luncheon
Bagley High School will be holding its annual Veterans Day Program and Luncheon on Wednesday, November 11 at 9:15 am in the Bagley High School gymnasium, and the Bagley High School’s Student Council is planning to make this year’s program their most patriotic and ambitious to date. All veterans and active-duty military members along with their friends and families are invited to attend the program and to be respectfully recognized and honored for their military service, and the program is open to the public.
The program will include patriotic contemporary and traditional musical performances from Breaking Up the Boys’ Club (a Northwest Minnesota cover band), Hannah Woods, Brynleigh Samson, the Clearwater County Community Choir, as well as Bagley High School’s own band and choirs. The Headwaters Quilt Guild is also returning to present Quilts of Valor to local veterans.
In addition, following the program a complimentary meal will be provided for all visiting veterans/active-duty military members and their accompanying friends and family. Veterans are asked to arrive fifteen minutes early (by 9:00 am) to have their name and branch of military service recorded for inclusion in the “roll call” portion of the program.
The guest speaker for this year’s Bagley High School Veterans Day Program is Tom Lano, who recently retired after 39 years as a KKCQ 96.7 FM Radio DJ, sportscaster, and on-air personality. In total, Tom Lano worked 48 years in the radio industry and is highly regarded as the respected and enthusiastic local voice of morning radio and sports in the area.
